One Photographer Chases The Longest Off Road Race in America

When it comes to covering an event as media personnel, there are lots of challenges that go along with it. When such an event is in one place, it can really be tough to challenge but, when an event stretches out over hours of desert with countless miles in the mix, it’s even tougher to cover as a media person. Sure, all that you get is the finished product to admire the photography or videos that come about as the hard efforts of another person comes to fruition but it’s not too often that you get to see the behind-the-scenes that goes into making these pictures come to life.

In this one, we follow along with photographer, Daniel Schenkelberg, as he goes from Las Vegas to Reno, Nevada, covering the longest off-road race in America, trying to get the best pictures possible by predicting exactly where drivers are going to be at the right time, setting up his equipment, and doing the absolute best that he can do put himself in the mix for that perfect shot. As you can see from the still photographs inserted into the video, he does a pretty good job at bringing all these factors together into one shot that really captures the moment.
